Position Details:
Essential Job Functions
- Merchandise the giftware department attractively with guidelines set forth by Hartig Drug Company
- Works as a partner with the store team to assist in growing the department
- Train store employees how to correctly label, merchandise, and sell in the giftware department
- Analyze inventory status in backrooms and storerooms and keep detailed notes on inventory at each store and suggest transfers or markdowns to Retail Operations Manager
- Giftware Merchandiser is not allowed to make any major changes without the approval of the Retail Operations Manager
- Prior to visiting a Hartig Retail Location the Giftware Merchandiser should contact the Retail Store Manager
- Work with the Retail Store Manager at each location on plans, goals, and sales expectations for the giftware department
- Assist Retail Stores with transitions after certain holidays
- Review merchandising progress and sales trends of each Retail Store with Retail Operations Manager
- Review inventory notes with buyers on a regular basis
- Complete work on a timely basis
- Assist patients and customers in retail store
- Works well in a team environment
- Portrays the company in a positive image
- Required to abide by all rules, regulations and policies of the employer
Skills:
- Ability to work cooperatively with pharmacy and store staff
- Ability to review notes with giftware buyers and supervisor
- Ability to suggest changes in layout or new product lines
Education:
- Two year college degree or comparable work experience
- Strong customer service and teamwork skills
- Good communication skills
