Position Details:
This role is responsible for ensuring the compliance with all federal and state pharmacy laws and regulations that pertain to the department. This position will provide coverage in both retail and long term care pharmacies in Wisconsin.
Essential Job Functions
- Dispense prescription medication to patients
- Provide information about medications and help patients understand the instructions their doctors provide
- Provide information and make recommendations about over-the-counter medications
- Monitor the health and progress of patients in response to drug therapy
- Works well in a team environment
- Portrays the company in a positive image
- Required to abide by all rules, regulations and policies of the employer
Experience:
- Valid pharmacist license which must be in good standing with the state pharmacy board
- Must be detail oriented
- Must be able to communicate well with patients and staff
Skills:
- Ability to work cooperatively with pharmacy staff
- Ability to administer immunizations is required
Education:
Degree in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited college
- Thirty hours of continuing education every two years
