Essential Job Functions
Dispense prescription medication to patients
Provide information about medications and help patients understand the instructions their doctors provide
Provide information and make recommendations about over-the-counter medications
Monitor the health and progress of patients in response to drug therapy
Works well in a team environment
Portrays the company in a positive image
Required to abide by all rules, regulations and policies of the employer
Ability to work cooperatively with pharmacy staff
Ability to administer immunizations is required
Must be detail oriented
Degree in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited college
Valid pharmacist license which must be in good standing with the state pharmacy board
Must be able to communicate well with patients and staff
Thirty hours of continuing education every two years
